Self-doubt is a living, breathing thing. It has a voice that raises in volume every time you try to do something worthwhile. It hates when you step outside your comfort zone or when you try to follow a dream. It knows the exact moment when you are questioning your path and it strikes hard. It will keep you from moving forward and discredit the progress you’ve made. It loves criticism and feeds off negativity. The only way to defeat self-doubt is action. Listen to the voice in your head: the one that tells you to stay put-- then push forward anyway. If you can laugh when it tries to hold you down, it loses power. Self doubt is not you, it’s your scared ego that shows itself when your true self starts to move.
